Jim Crouse
President and CEO
During his tenure, Jim has led a global distributor development effort that added 65+ distributors in 73 countries, and brought several new clean energy and renewable energy microturbine products to the market. Prior to joining Capstone, Jim spent 20 years developing distributed generation projects including oil and gas, CHP, biogas, thermal energy storage, solar, and wind. In addition to his executive career, Jim has served on several advisory boards and boards of directors and has testified before Congress on several renewable energy topics.
William Win
Vice President of Engineering
William has more than 20 years of experience in mechanical and controls applications, engineering, and product development. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electro-mechanical engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and a master’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Northridge. William has overseen dozens of onsite commissionings of combined heat and power (CHP) and oil and gas projects, and is an advanced microturbine factory-authorized service provider.
William Bisset

Bill is a seasoned executive with more than 35 years of experience in management, finance, contracts, corporate and project development. A California state licensed mechanical engineer and certified energy manager, Bill is also the founder of Keystone Engineering Solutions, Inc., which has experience providing engineering for a multitude of industries, including a combined heat and power plant, commercial industrial, manufacturing, and more.
Steve Heinkel
Director of US Rentals
An experienced project estimator and project manager, Steve has spent more than 25 years in residential and commercial construction. Steve is also a licensed commercial swimming pool contractor and general contractor. At Capstone Engineered Solutions, Steve is in charge of our Rentals Department, where he puts his experience to work powering your project.
Dann Vail
Business Development Director
Since entering the energy industry in 1989, Dann has helped clients lower energy consumption through strategies in demand-side energy management and energy efficiency, and by supporting effective, cutting-edge energy conservation measures. He has proposed and implemented tens of millions of dollars in projects that not only improved the comfort of the environment but also saved money for the client on their operations by lowering energy consumption. Dann has worked for customers in the commercial, industrial and healthcare spaces, and with government agencies at the local, state, and federal level, saving them well over 100 million dollars.
Mark Carvalho
Business Development Director
Mark is an environmental futurist with over 40 years in the automotive industry, and has worked to advance green energy technologies for the automotive, commercial, industrial, and oil and gas industries. He’s active with the U.S. Green Building Council; the American Council of Renewable Energy; and NAFA Fleet Management Association. Mark also serves on the boards of the Pacific Rim Chamber of Commerce; the Wyland Foundation Partnership Advisory Board; Intuitus Cyber; Super Water HyOx; and on the International Advisory Board for the Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships.
